In 2021 amid covid era, the shareholders of the DS Education Group along with Alexandros Theodoridis co-founded The Why Community, a platform offering hybrid learning through playful activities for children 4-12 y.o.

Initially, the idea was to offer exclusively online learning. Over the years however, the model turned into combining digital content with offline delivery.

Today, The Why Community has evolved into a really unique ecosystem of playful learning, focused on the soft skills and the emotional intelligence aspects that will assist kids to strive into the upcoming world.

The Why Community educational activities are based on the Life-derived pedagogy and are backed by the academic staff of Dorothy Snot preschool & kindergarten.

Numerous projects have been implemented for children in Greece so far, either directly asked by schools or indirectly through B2B deals (under Corporate Social Responsibility programs) .

The jewel in our crown of course is the selection of The Why Community by the Greek government to develop the digital tools for Greece’s National Program against Children Obesity.

The Why Community is an independent company within DS Education Group, with the 46% of its shares belonging to DS Group founders.

The company is on the way for a second round of private equity financing, within 2026. Future plans include the expansion in the international markets as well as the gradual turnout of The Why Community into a fully operating online school, offering a complete curriculum on alternative education.
